Más Madrid proposes Emilio Delgado to lead the group’s Madrid list
Más Madrid has proposed that Emilio Delgado lead the Frente Amplio’s list in Madrid.
Delgado is the party’s deputy spokesperson in the Madrid regional assembly.
The proposal was sent to Izquierda Unida, Movimiento Sumar and Podemos as the four groups try to agree on a joint list.
Más Madrid wants Health Minister Mónica García in second place, and also proposes including its leaders Eduardo Rubiño and Tesh Sidi, without specifying their positions.
The party had earlier proposed García to lead the list, and later said Ada Colau could be an option.
Choosing Delgado for the Madrid list does not mean he would be the group’s candidate for prime minister; Más Madrid has said it would welcome Colau for that role.
The proposal is intended to break the current deadlock, and the parties still need to reach an agreement.
