EU names 46 new raw-material projects as earlier plans face delays

The EU has named 46 more projects to mine, process and recycle important minerals.

These materials are used in products such as electric cars, wind turbines and computer chips.

But many projects chosen earlier are delayed or facing other problems, including limited funding and slow permits.

The EU wants to produce and recycle more of these minerals itself, rather than depend so heavily on countries such as China.
