Meta launches Muse Wonder AI models, which rank near the top in benchmarks

Meta has announced Muse Wonder, a new family of AI models that is rolling out to developers.

The company says the models are designed for tasks in which an AI agent works through complex assignments, such as understanding a lease or building an app.

Meta says features called Active Focus and Active Memory help the models stay on task and recover from errors.

The release follows Muse Spark 1.3 by six weeks and comes after Meta invested heavily in AI hiring and infrastructure.

An independent benchmark ranked Muse Wonder Full second on its leaderboard, tied with Claude Sonnet 5.5 Max and behind Claude Opus 5.5 Max.

The ranking suggests Meta has become more competitive with leading AI developers, including OpenAI, Anthropic and Google.

Meta says Muse Wonder will soon power features in its Muse assistant, but those features will be available only to paid subscribers.
