Sam Walker hopes to agree new Roosters deal before November 1

Sam Walker wants to stay with the Sydney Roosters.

He hopes to agree on a new contract before November 1, when other clubs can approach him.

The two sides were about $1 million apart in their last talks.

If they do not reach an agreement, other teams could try to sign him.
