Korean-born Danish filmmaker explores adoption and rights violations in documentary
Tanja Inwool Sørensen was adopted from South Korea to Denmark as a baby.
In her documentary, she looks into her childhood and learns that her adoption papers falsely described her as an abandoned child.
South Korea’s truth commission found that her rights and those of 55 other adoptees were violated.
She says adoptees need access to their records and a process for compensation.
