NFL teams make Week 5 roster moves amid injury concerns

NFL teams made a series of roster moves on October 10 ahead of their Week 5 games.

The moves included signing players from practice squads, temporarily elevating players for game day, and placing others on injured reserve.

Several call-ups provide extra depth as teams wait to see whether injured players can play.

The Broncos, for example, elevated two cornerbacks while two starting cornerbacks are out.

The Seahawks placed rookie safety Julian Neal on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, while the Giants did the same for outside linebacker Chauncey Golston.

Some players, including Jammie Robinson, Zach Ertz and Lew Nichols, are receiving their third standard game-day elevation, so their teams must sign them to the 53-player roster if they want to use them in another game this season.

Jacksonville signed linebacker Jalen McLeod from its practice squad after his third elevation last week.
