Lamar Jackson ruled out as Ravens prepare to face Falcons
The Baltimore Ravens will play the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday without quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has been ruled out with an ankle injury.
Jackson hurt his ankle during Baltimore’s Week 4 win over the Tennessee Titans and did not practice this week.
Backup Tyler Huntley is set to start for the 3-1 Ravens.
The team has won 68.9% of games in which Jackson started, compared with 37% of games in which he did not start, including postseason games.
That difference makes Jackson’s absence important as Baltimore faces a Falcons team coming off a 45-24 win over the New Orleans Saints.
The Ravens’ next two games are against Cleveland and Cincinnati, both division rivals.
The sources do not say when Jackson is expected to return.
