Jack Johnson Plays Two Sold-Out Shows at the Hollywood Bowl
Jack Johnson played the first of two sold-out shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The concerts were the final dates of his North American tour supporting SURFILMUSIC, a documentary about his path from surfing to filmmaking and music.
Johnson performed for about two hours with his longtime band, including Zach Gill.
The set featured familiar songs such as “Banana Pancakes,” “Upside Down” and “Better Together,” along with covers of songs by Dolly Parton, The Wailers and Jimmy Buffett.
Ben Harper and surfer Kelly Slater joined Johnson onstage, and opening act Hermanos Gutiérrez also performed with him.
