Commune breach may expose member data at LINE Yahoo, Sansan and Panasonic

Commune, a platform companies use to run online communities, was hit by unauthorized access.

About 307,000 members’ information may have been exposed, including data from communities run by LINE Yahoo, Sansan and Panasonic.

Sansan confirmed exposure of information for 1,325 people and said data for another 8,687 may have been exposed.

It said its main services, including Eight, were not affected.

Panasonic warned members to watch for scam emails pretending to come from the company or people connected to it.
