Acosta criticises MotoGP tyre pressure rules after Indonesian GP
Pedro Acosta criticised MotoGP’s tyre pressure rules after the Indonesian Grand Prix in Indonesia.
The KTM rider said his front tyre pressure exceeded the permitted level during the race, forcing him to give up places.
He and Marc Márquez repeatedly passed and yielded to each other, while Ai Ogura later passed both.
Acosta said the rule made the racing look bad and argued that riders should only have to meet the minimum pressure before the race starts.
Márquez also said he had tyre pressure problems, and KTM rider Maverick Viñales received a 16-second penalty for failing to meet the minimum.
The pressure rules had also affected Jorge Martin in the sprint race the previous day.
The race ended with Aprilia riders taking the first four places.
