Microsoft reports highest observed state-linked cyber activity in the US

Microsoft counted cyber activity linked to state actors across the Americas.

It recorded 531 events in the United States, compared with 27 in Brazil and 26 in Canada.

These are events Microsoft observed, not a count of every cyberattack or a measure of how vulnerable a country is.

The report also says ransomware records rose in the US, Canada and Costa Rica.
