Xiaomi launches 10,000mAh power bank with retractable cable and 55W charging

Xiaomi has launched a new 10,000mAh power bank in China, priced at 299 yuan (about $45).

It has a built-in 70cm retractable USB-C cable, so users do not need to carry a separate cable.

Two USB-C charging options and a USB-A port let it connect to three devices at once, though the combined output falls to 15W when multiple ports are used.

For one device, either USB-C option can provide up to 55W, and a display shows details such as remaining charge, temperature and battery health.

The device meets China’s GB 47372-2026 safety standard, which includes tests intended to reduce the risk of battery fires and explosions.

The standard and the device’s protections matter because power banks contain lithium-ion batteries, which can pose safety risks if they fail.

The power bank is available in three colors, but Xiaomi has not announced plans to sell it internationally.
