Wonju launches one-stop online portal for business support
The city of Wonju in South Korea has launched an expanded online service for local businesses.
It replaces and broadens the city’s existing Business SOS portal.
Business support information had been spread across different departments and organizations, making it difficult to find in one place.
The new portal lets businesses report problems, find support programs, receive updates through a KakaoTalk channel and access partner organizations.
Reports about permits, requests and regulations will be reviewed through a four-stage process that includes follow-up.
The city says the portal is intended to make support easier to find and help resolve business concerns more quickly.
Wonju has expanded and revamped its existing Business SOS page into a one-stop online portal for business support.
The city said the portal brings support-program information and a way to submit business difficulties together in one place.
It has four functions: receiving business concerns, providing support-program information, sharing news through Wonju Business Talk, and linking to related institutions.
Companies can submit issues such as permits, proposals and regulatory barriers for review and follow-up.
The city said the portal is intended to improve access to information and help address business concerns more quickly.
