Cornell accuser’s lawyer says texts do not undermine assault claims
The student says fraternity members drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2024.
Texts she sent two of the men later described the sexual encounter as not illegal and said she had liked being with them.
Her lawyer says she did not recognize the alleged assault’s seriousness at the time.
The men deny the allegations, and prosecutors did not bring criminal charges.
New York’s attorney general has been appointed to investigate whether a crime occurred.
