Chinese car-lighting company faces backlash over dismissals of 107 graduates
Xiangyu Automotive Lighting, a major Chinese maker of vehicle lights, dismissed 107 recent graduates soon after they joined the company in July 2026.
They had been recruited for research, development or technical jobs, and were among 440 graduates offered positions through hiring rounds in autumn 2025 and spring 2026.
The dismissals became public in August and drew widespread criticism online.
