Tom Brooke says he was not ready for J.K. Coe’s death in Slow Horses

J.K. Coe is killed in the fourth episode of Slow Horses’ sixth season.

Actor Tom Brooke said he thought he had accepted the character’s death, but felt emotional when he tried reading a later book in the series without Coe.

Brooke also said he wanted the show’s version of the death to keep the ordinary details that made it feel true to the character.

His comments show how attached he had become to the role.
