Jessica Chastain’s Horror Film Other Mommy Opens Against Aaron Sorkin’s New Movie
Other Mommy is a horror film starring Jessica Chastain in two roles.
Its trailer played before The Odyssey and got attention for its jump scares.
The film opens in theaters at the same time as Aaron Sorkin’s The Social Reckoning.
Chastain says she feels no competition with her friend Sorkin.
Jessica Chastain plays both a mother and a sinister entity that looks and sounds like her in the horror film Other Mommy.
The film is based on Josh Malerman’s 2024 novel Incidents Around the House.
Director Rob Savage said the film’s trailer debuted in theaters before The Odyssey while the film was still being finished.
Savage said the film was originally titled Incidents Around the House and that Other Mommy was a better title.
