Han Dong-hoon and Kim Min-seok clash over allegations involving their children

South Korea’s Democratic Party renewed calls for police to investigate an allegation about work attributed to the child of independent lawmaker Han Dong-hoon.

The allegation concerns papers said to have been ghostwritten when the child was in high school.

Han responded by accusing Democratic Party leader Kim Min-seok and party lawmakers of giving Kim’s son an unfair advantage.

He pointed to their joint sponsorship of a bill the son had written while he was a student.

Han described this as “dad privilege.”

The exchange is part of a wider political dispute between Han and Kim.

The dispute has now expanded to allegations involving their children.
