Morelia festival spotlights intimate Mexican stories and rising women directors
Morelia’s film festival will bring Mexican and international films to audiences, with filmmakers including Guillermo del Toro and Diego Luna attending.
Director Daniela Michel says more Mexican films now tell intimate stories about family, childhood and motherhood.
She also says more women are directing films in Mexico.
The festival’s hybrid format lets people watch some films online, including those who cannot travel to Morelia.
