Lani Pallister targets Olympic gold after first 800m win over Katie Ledecky

Pallister has become one of the world’s leading distance swimmers.

In August, she beat Katie Ledecky in the 800m freestyle for the first time.

She says a change of coach helped her improve after illness and setbacks disrupted earlier Olympic plans.

Now she is working toward the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, hoping to win an individual medal.
