The new area includes Daejeon, Sejong and North Chungcheong Province.

A vehicle with learning activities and specialist instructors visits schools and other education institutions.

The program began in the southern coastal region in 2016 and has since expanded to the capital area, the west coast and the east coast.

It reaches about 20,000 people a year and will now operate in five regions nationwide.

Pupils can use virtual reality and games to explore marine life, habitats and underwater environments; the new regional classes are for children in grades 1 to 4.

Education institutions can apply online from Oct.
