Ezra Sastry, a Christian singer, songwriter, composer and musician, died in Secunderabad on Saturday.
He was 72 and died of cardiac arrest at a private hospital.
For more than five decades, he served Christian congregations across the two Telugu States and shared the Christian message through music.
He was also known as a lyrical evangelist and music therapist.
He is survived by his wife, daughter and son.
His funeral service is scheduled for Sunday at Centenary Baptist Church in Secunderabad, followed by burial at the Secunderabad Christian Cemetery.
