Brandon Flowers ranks five Killers songs in a blind-listening challenge
Brandon Flowers, the lead singer of The Killers, ranked five songs by the band in a blind-ranking challenge.
He heard each title without knowing which song would come next.
The songs included “When You Were Young,” “Human,” “The Man,” “Read My Mind” and “Mr.
Brightside.”
Flowers said “When You Were Young” helped reassure the band after they worried their second album might not match the success of their debut.
He also said “The Man” helped save its album, while he sometimes thinks “All These Things That I’ve Done” may be better than “Read My Mind.”
Flowers explained that “Mr.
Brightside” was written after he saw how strongly audiences responded to Oasis’ “Don’t Look Back In Anger.”
He is due to begin a solo tour in the UK and Ireland on October 14, with the final show scheduled for Dublin on October 27.
