UK doctor accused of Rwanda genocide offences set to face trial in 2027

Vincent Brown is accused of helping to kill members of Rwanda’s Tutsi ethnic group during the 1994 genocide.

He denies wrongdoing and has indicated he will plead not guilty.

His trial in London is provisionally scheduled to start in October 2027.

The case is the first in the UK to charge someone over the genocide.
