Van Gisbergen finishes seventh at Charlotte as Briscoe wins
Shane van Gisbergen finished seventh in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
It was his second straight top-10 finish.
Chase Briscoe won after a close final-lap battle with his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Christopher Bell.
The two made contact as they crossed the finish line, in the closest finish of the season so far.
Briscoe said a deflating right-front tyre made the closing laps difficult.
Van Gisbergen started 10th and praised his Trackhouse Racing team over the radio after the race.
