F-Zero GX Cheat Codes Unlock Long-Lost Gold Parts
A Japanese player, known as BTEST4HE, has found eight hidden cheat codes in F-Zero GX, a racing game released for the GameCube in 2003.
The codes unlock sets of parts that can be bought in the game’s shop.
Some of those parts, known as Gold Parts, were previously available only at in-person promotional events in Japan.
Because those events took place many years ago, the parts were difficult to obtain through ordinary play.
The codes work in the English and Japanese versions and on the GameCube, Wii and Nintendo Classics version for Nintendo Switch 2.
Five codes, including those for Gold Parts, must be entered using four controllers at once.
The discovery makes the event-only parts obtainable again, although entering some codes requires several controllers and people.
