Nine people face trial over alleged cargo thefts in San Luis Potosí
A federal judge in Mexico has ordered nine people linked to the alleged criminal group Los Alemanes to face court proceedings.
They are accused of offences including cargo theft, illegal possession of firearms and signal jammers, and possession of stolen vehicles and goods.
The investigation focused on thefts from freight trucks on roads in San Luis Potosí, especially the routes to Matehuala and Federal Highway 57.
Authorities say searches of three properties in the state capital led to the seizure of weapons, signal jammers and vehicles.
The nine were ordered held in pretrial detention, and investigators have three months to carry out further inquiries.
Authorities still have to establish where the seized goods came from and what each person is responsible for.
