Audi deliveries fall 19.7% in the third quarter
Audi delivered 314,905 cars of its core brand in the third quarter, 19.7% fewer than in the same period a year earlier.
The German carmaker is part of the Volkswagen group.
Its deliveries fell faster than in the second quarter, when they were down about 8%.
Audi says the decline reflects a weak market in China, tough competition and changes to two major models, the A1 and Q2.
US tariffs are also a particular challenge because Audi does not have its own production in the United States.
In the first nine months of the year, Audi deliveries were down nearly a quarter in China and about one-sixth in the United States, while they rose slightly in Germany and Europe.
The company delivered 1.04 million cars worldwide in those nine months, 11.4% fewer than a year earlier.
