Barcelona backs property tax rise of up to 150% for tourist flats

Barcelona has backed a plan to raise property tax on tourist flats by up to 150%.

The initiative was supported by the PSC, ERC and Comuns.

It still needs approval at a full council meeting in December.

If approved, it would increase the tax bill for owners of tourist flats.
