Officials review plan for eastern State of Mexico municipalities

State of Mexico Governor Delfina Gómez met with federal and local officials to review a development plan for the eastern part of the state.

The meeting was led by Interior Secretary Rosa Icela Rodríguez and included Education Secretary Mario Delgado.

The plan covers 10 municipalities, including Ecatepec, Nezahualcóyotl and Chalco.

It is intended to address priority needs in a region described as historically neglected.

Officials discussed health, education, water and land for building high schools.

The governments involved will continue working on the plan, but no specific deadlines or new measures were announced.
