Aerial control of pine wilt disease to resume next year
Pine wilt disease is caused by a tiny worm that blocks the flow of water inside trees.
Most infected trees dry out and die.
The number of infected trees nearly doubled from 2023 to this year, and the affected area has spread as far as the Seoul metropolitan region.
The government says aerial control will resume next year.
