Slovakia says winter gas needs are covered by supplies and storage

Slovakia says it has enough gas for people’s needs this winter.

Supplies will come from a long-term contract with Gazprom, other contracts and gas in storage.

The country is also looking for alternatives to Russian oil and gas from 2028.

That matters because Slovakia expects it will need other sources and delivery routes.

What people are saying

We have a long-term contract with Gazprom, short-term diversification contracts, and sufficient gas reserves in storage. Consumer needs for the winter season will be fully covered.
