New Carrie Series Adds Online Bullying, a Friend and a Secret Organization

The series retells Stephen King’s story of Carrie, a teenager with telekinetic powers.

It brings online bullying into the story and gives Carrie a friend who helps her develop her abilities.

It also portrays her mother as loving but overly protective, unlike the novel’s cruel mother.

These changes make the new version different from the book and earlier adaptations.
