Dejiang tea industry output reaches 1.67 billion yuan in 2025

Dejiang grows a lot of tea, but it once lacked enough space and equipment to process the harvest.

Funding from an east-west cooperation program helped build factories and install production lines.

This lets more tea leaves, including summer and autumn harvests, be processed into higher-value products used to make matcha.

The county says its tea industry was worth 1.674 billion yuan in 2025, supporting businesses and local farmers.
