CSL shares rebound as analyst sees room for further earnings growth

CSL is an Australian healthcare company and a global supplier of medicines made from donated blood plasma.

Its shares have rebounded strongly, rising to about $184.65 from a 52-week low of $90, but remain below their 52-week high of $222.47.

The company’s treatments include immunoglobulin therapies for people with immune deficiencies and other serious conditions.

The analysis expects earnings to grow steadily, while noting that higher collection and processing costs have hurt profitability.

CSL plans to roll out new plasma collection technology across its US centres by the end of 2027 as part of efforts to improve efficiency.

The analysis views the shares as a buy, but says they are no longer a bargain and that a gradual recovery is more likely.
