Paul Rowley appointed Castleford Tigers head coach on three-year deal

Paul Rowley has been appointed Castleford Tigers head coach on a three-year deal.

Castleford is a rugby league club that plays in England’s Super League.

Rowley takes over after Ryan Carr left two months ago for personal reasons.

Rowley previously coached St Helens and Salford, and left St Helens in July as the team was heading towards missing the play-offs.

Castleford won only eight of 27 games and finished second bottom in the league.

The club’s director of rugby, Chris Chester, said it expects to keep strengthening the squad and developing young players.

Rowley is expected to help lead a new chapter for the club.
