Texans activate Kayden McDonald and M.J. Stewart for Titans game

The Houston Texans have activated defensive tackle Kayden McDonald and safety M.J. Stewart for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans.

Both players are defensive reinforcements returning from injury.

McDonald, a rookie second-round pick, injured his ankle before Week 1 and was on injured reserve.

Stewart was recovering from a knee injury while on the physically unable to perform list.

To make room for them on the active roster, Houston waived quarterback Mark Gronowski and wide receiver Bryce Oliver, who had both joined the team this week.

The Texans also temporarily elevated cornerback Bryce Hall and linebacker Kenneth Murray from the practice squad.

The two activations give Houston additional defensive options for the game.
