Spider-Man 5 could draw on comics featuring Scorpion and the Fantastic Four

A Collider commentary argues that the planned fifth Spider-Man film could take ideas from Marvel comics.

It follows Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which the commentary describes as the fourth film and a major box-office success.

Tom Holland and director Destin Daniel Cretton are expected to return, according to the commentary.

One suggested comic storyline turns Scorpion into a host for the Venom symbiote.

Another focuses on Peter Parker’s close bond with the Fantastic Four, especially Johnny Storm.

The commentary says fans have also asked for characters such as Mister Negative and Black Cat, and that Holland has looked online for fan ideas.

These are suggestions for what the next film could draw on, not confirmed plot details.
