VakıfBank secures €200 million loan backed by Italy’s SACE

VakıfBank secured €200 million in financing from ING Germany under a 10-year loan.

Italy’s export credit agency, SACE, guarantees 95% of the financing.

The money is intended to help VakıfBank customers finance trade with Italy, including imports from Italian companies.

The deal is expected to support exports by more than 100 Italian companies, especially small and medium-sized businesses.

It will also help Turkish importers access medium- and long-term financing and strengthen trade links between the two countries.

VakıfBank says its new external funding in 2026 has reached $9 billion, including this deal and funding secured earlier in the year.

The bank described the transaction as a continuation of its first SACE-guaranteed financing with ING in 2023.
