Dutch judges seek changes to proposed surrogacy law

The proposed law would let intended parents arrange legal parenthood before a child is conceived.

Judges say there should also be checks after birth, because circumstances can change and a child should be able to know their genetic parents.

They also want surrogates to have more time to change their minds.

Judges worry that some overseas surrogacy cases could involve problems similar to those seen in international adoption.
