Dutch parliament votes to raise rainbow flag on Coming Out Day
The Dutch House of Representatives has voted to raise the rainbow flag at its building on Sunday, for International Coming Out Day.
A majority backed the proposal on Thursday evening.
The plan to raise the flag had been withdrawn after the SGP objected.
A motion was then put forward to bring it back.
Prime Minister Rob Jetten said he was sorry that the issue had caused debate in parliament.
The vote showed that members were divided, even though a majority supported raising the flag.
The flag is due to be raised at the parliament building on Sunday.
