IIT alumni body urges diaspora to return to India amid US Green Card freeze

The US suspended a process used for many job-based Green Card applications involving eight companies.

Pan IIT Alumni India says this shows the risks of building a career around immigration status.

It urged IIT graduates abroad to consider research, technology and business opportunities in India.

The freeze does not appear to directly affect people who already have H-1B visas.
