Classic F1 cars race through Nice for Ocean’s prequel filming
Classic Formula 1 cars are racing around Nice’s harbour as a film crew shoots an untitled Ocean’s prequel.
The production has turned the working port into a road circuit with barriers, hay bales and temporary crew areas.
The film follows the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix and centres on Danny Ocean’s parents taking part in a heist over race weekend.
The story provides a fictional background to how Danny’s parents shaped his later life.
Bradley Cooper is writing, directing and acting in the film after Lee Isaac Chung left in March 2026 over disagreements about its direction.
Production is also taking place in Paris and Monaco, and the film is scheduled for release on 25 June 2027.
