Russia adds four people and an online resource to foreign agents list
Russia’s Justice Ministry has added four people and an online resource called “Bad Kursk Girl” to its register of foreign agents.
The people are film critic Timur Aliyev, activist Roman Malozemov, blogger Muslim Satuev and religious figure Ishmurat Khaibullin.
The ministry said they spread what it called false information about government decisions and policies, and worked with or shared material from foreign agents.
It also said Satuev opposed Russia’s military operation in Ukraine and lives abroad; Khaibullin also lives abroad, and the ministry accused him of spreading extremist material and calling for a violation of Russia’s territorial integrity.
The resource was also accused of sharing material from organizations Russia has designated as undesirable.
The ministry removed two organizations from the register because they had ceased to exist; no further steps were announced.
