Ravens examined Cam Jurgens in Philadelphia before completing trade
The Baltimore Ravens traded for center Cam Jurgens from the Philadelphia Eagles.
Before finalizing the deal, Baltimore sent two doctors to examine him at the Eagles’ facility.
Jurgens passed the physical, and the teams then completed the trade.
The Ravens also received a 2027 seventh-round pick, while the Eagles received a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick.
The Ravens changed their approach after a planned trade for defensive end Maxx Crosby fell through in March when he failed his physical.
Jurgens remains in the concussion protocol, so he is expected to miss Baltimore’s game against Atlanta and make his debut the following week against Cleveland if cleared.
Other NFL teams may consider completing physicals before finalizing future trades.
