East Riding offers free mental health support to adults

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is offering free mental health and wellbeing support to residents aged 18 and over.

Its Wellbeing for Us programme aims to help people build confidence, connect with others and feel less isolated.

The programme includes workshops and informal peer support groups, covering topics such as anxiety, stress and self-esteem.

Workshops are being held in several towns, including Goole, Beverley and Bridlington.

Drop-in sessions and peer groups are currently available in Goole and at Lelley Fields Crematorium.

The council says the programme can also help residents find wider support, including community organisations and NHS services, and more peer groups are planned.
