Lee Seung Gi says malicious comments still hurt but should be let go

Lee Seung Gi, a South Korean actor, singer and television host, visited his former school, Sanggye High School, and spoke with students.

In a video uploaded on October 8, a student asked how he copes with malicious comments.

He said the comments still hurt, even though he has faced them for years.

Lee said people should reflect if they have done something wrong, but try to let go of attacks they have not earned.

He said dwelling on anger can ruin a person’s day and that such experiences affect everyone, not only celebrities.

Lee has faced public criticism, including after he said he and his wife would cut ties with her family following his father-in-law’s involvement in a stock manipulation case.

He encouraged the students to become stronger and handle difficult experiences with resilience.
