China agrees to curb hybrid vehicle exports to the EU, commissioner says

China and the EU held trade talks in Beijing.

The EU trade commissioner said China agreed to limit exports of hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars to the EU.

He said the limits could reduce those exports to less than half their current volume.

This matters because it could change how many of these cars reach EU markets.
