Samsara launches AI agent platform for physical operations

Samsara has launched a no-code platform for building AI agents for companies that manage vehicles, equipment, workers and sites.

The San Francisco-based company says adoption on its platform has grown sevenfold since June as customers use AI for more tasks.

These include compiling reports, finding ways to save fuel and flagging possible compliance problems.

The agents use operational data to identify issues and take action, rather than waiting only for a person to ask a question.

One food company’s agent, for example, tracks driving and shift time to flag a risk before a driver breaks hours-of-service rules.

Samsara says the platform is now available to all customers, who can use prebuilt agents or create custom chat and voice agents.

The company says this can reduce manual work and help staff focus on other problems.
