Albert Heijn, Etos and Gall & Gall websites and apps go offline again

The websites and apps for Albert Heijn, Etos and Gall & Gall were unreachable in the Netherlands for a second morning.

The problems began on Sunday and eased later that day before returning on Monday morning.

Albert Heijn called the cause an IT incident and told Dutch broadcaster NOS it had switched off some systems as a precaution.

The retailer said those systems affect core digital processes, but gave no further details about the incident.

Albert Heijn said it would not deliver online orders until further notice.

The disruption affects the digital services of three Ahold Delhaize retailers in the Netherlands; Bol.com appeared to be working normally.

Albert Heijn had not said when the services or deliveries would resume.
